Out of the Box: A Community Action Forum
To End Homelessness in Greater Boston

Join us for an all day event!

You are invited to participate in an event designed to open doors to new ideas, build alliances and move the community to take action to end epidemic homelessness.

This is a unique opportunity, bringing together people from various perspectives who share a vision to end homelessness. Learn about the issues first-hand from people who are currently and formerly homeless, and share your out-of-the-box ideas with others in the community.

Sponsors:
This Community Action Forum is a collaborative volunteer project and is part of the Give Us Your Poor project, based at the Center for Social Policy at UMass Bostons McCormack Graduate School for Policy Studies. The design and facilitation for the day will be led by internationally renowned workshop leader Gil Steil and his associates, Jill Peckenpaugh and Mary Elizabeth Ford. A volunteer Steering Committee made up of individuals representing many different aspects of the issue of homelessness have contributed their ideas and coordinated the logistics for the event.

Forum Design:
Using an innovative approach to group exploration and planning, we will provide the framework for discovering new ideas by building creative collaborations. What is unusual about this forum is the eclectic and diverse backgrounds of the audience and their active participation in the discussions and activities of the day.

Bring an open mind and your questions, interests and challenges to work on with others. Leave with action steps for new coalitions and partnerships, and a participant contact list for those who wish to contribute.
